How we collect, use and look after your personal data when you visit this site, book a call or work with us.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The short version
- We collect what you give us when you book a call or email us, and use it to talk to you about working together.
- This site has no analytics, no advertising and sets no cookies of its own. The booking calendar (Calendly) sets its own cookies when it loads.
- We never sell your data, and only share it with the services we need to run the business.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time: email jake@fromsendr.com.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Jake Parsons and Tom Olney, trading together as FromSendr ("FromSendr", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
- Address: Worthing, West Sussex. United Kingdom.
- Email: jake@fromsendr.com
2. What we collect
When you book a call. Your name, email address, the time you choose and anything you write in the booking form (for example your brand and website).
When you email or message us. Your name, email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you become a client. Contact and billing details for the people we work with, and the information we need to do the work (for example access to your Klaviyo account).
When you visit the site. Like any website, our hosting provider and the services the pages load from (see section 4) receive technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. We don't use analytics or tracking tools to build a picture of you.
3. How we use it, and why we're allowed to
Data protection law requires a "lawful basis" for each use of your data. Ours are:
- Arranging and holding calls, and answering enquiries: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- Providing our services to clients (including invoicing and day-to-day contact): performing our contract with you.
- Keeping accounts and business records: our legal obligations (for example to HMRC).
- Running and securing this website: our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure site.
We don't use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services we use to run the business, which handle it on our behalf and under contract:
- Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA): our booking calendar. See Calendly's privacy notice.
- Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA): serves the fonts used on this site, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. Google does not use this to profile visitors. See Google Fonts' privacy FAQ.
- Google Workspace: our email.
- Netlify: hosts this website.
We may also share data where the law requires it, or with professional advisers where needed.
Following the Instagram link on this site takes you to Instagram, which has its own privacy policy.
5. International transfers
Some of these services are based in, or store data in, the USA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the UK-US data bridge (for companies certified under it) or by the UK's approved contract clauses (the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum).
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and calls that don't lead to working together: 12 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then 6 years for tax and legal purposes.
- Booking data in Calendly: until we delete it from Calendly, at most 12 months.
- Website logs: as set by our hosting provider, usually up to 30 days.
7. Cookies
This website doesn't set any cookies of its own and doesn't use analytics or advertising tools.
The booking calendar in the "Book a call" section is provided by Calendly. When it loads, Calendly may set its own cookies, which it needs to run the calendar and keep it secure, and possibly others it describes in its cookie notice.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block Calendly's, you can still book by emailing us.
8. If you're a client's customer
When we run email marketing for a brand, we work with that brand's customer and subscriber data (usually in their Klaviyo account) on the brand's behalf. In that case the brand is the controller and we are its processor: we only use the data to do the work it has asked for, under a written agreement. If you're on a brand's mailing list, its own privacy policy applies, and you should contact the brand to use your rights.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that's wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it (including for any marketing, which we'll always stop);
- ask for data you gave us in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these, email jake@fromsendr.com. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may need to confirm who you are first.
10. Keeping it safe
We keep personal data in reputable services with access limited to the two of us, use strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and only keep what is strictly necessary.
11. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at jake@fromsendr.com and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the way we handle data changes, and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
